4.1 What is automation
2 min readWhat automation helps you do
Automation is for repeated work that Marcto can run on a schedule. You set the task brief and run time, then Marcto runs it for you.
For example:
- Check ad data every day.
- Prepare a weekly content plan.
- Generate a monthly operations review.
- Remind the team about inventory, orders, or conversion issues.
When to use automation
Use automation when a task:
- Repeats often.
- Follows a similar process each time.
- Has a clear expected result.
- Does not require you to decide how to start every time.
If the task is still vague, run it in chat first. Turn it into automation once the brief is stable.
What to prepare
Before creating automation, decide:
- What it should do: ad check, inventory review, weekly report, content plan, and so on.
- When it should run: daily, weekly, monthly, or once at a specific time.
- Where to review the result: run history, notifications, or a team channel.
The clearer the task brief, the more useful the automation will be.
